to be aroused and yet not produce any lubrication?

Yes, it definitely is.

There have been several times that I've been very, very aroused, only to find intercourse very painful at first because I am not lubricated well enough naturally. This happens to everyone and is perfectly normal. All you have to do is keep a bottle of KY or other lubricant nearby so that when you need it, you have it.

A woman may not feel "wet" after she uses the restroom (as she is wiping away any wet that was on her vulva) or after she showers (she is washing away the normal, base wet/lubricant). These seem to be the times I have the most issues with it, but it can happen out of nowhere too.

If you're experiencing dryness before sex when you feel perfectly aroused frequently, you may want to mention it to your doctor at your next visit, just to be certain it isn't a hormonal issue of any kind.

ABSOLUTELY. Hormones play a large part in the lubrication issue and can keep things dry despite arousal. Buy a hypo-allergenic lubricant and make everyone happy.

Yes. Many women stay "dry". Buy a lubricant and you'll be fine.
