Yes, it is good that they can, but bad that Bush won't let them because him and his cronies are not done with their war profiteering.

Where did you get the idea the troops are coming home now? I think it would be great if we could get Iraq stable enough for them to come home but that hasn't happened yet. I guess you were talking about Al-Maliki saying Iraq can manage without the US. He's just trying to keep his cabinet from folding in panic at the thought of a US pullout. I think the Iraqis do need to get used to the idea of being self reliant, but it will still be a while before they can truly stand on their own. They would do far better if they subdivided the country into states or provinces, further divided those into counties or caliphates or whatever they want to call it over there and have each community providing for its own defense with a small contigent of federal troops for oversight. That is the only way to really control territory once it has been cleared. and it makes the Iraqi people rely on themselves instead of a federal government or the Americans, neither of which they trust, to defeat the insugency. Then we can bring our troops home safely.

Bull!!

Now Canadians, British, Dutch and everyone else can go home and US troops can do what they were supposed to in the first place: chase Bin Laden!

Your an idiot. We aren't going anywhere. Give it up traitor, we are going to soldier on...and you can go an and continue to stab our soldiers and our country in the back.

- if you win the election in 08, you can pull them out - and you can also take the blame for the dire consequences that will ensue.

Please do us all a favor and never reproduce. The world will be better for it.

NO. Unless you want to take it up the butt by the terrorists again. How can one expect to accomplise anything in Iraq when we have no support back here in the US.

The big question is "Will it happen?"

I say no, because there are too many people making a killing off this war.
