This Golden Globe nominated Best Picture Made For TV (1980) was a big step in the acting career of Shawn Cassidy. He, along with co-star Linda Purl ('Happy Days'), was nominated for several young acting awards. He'd been acting for nearly 10 years and had the successful tv show 'Hardy Boys' at the time this movie came out. And he had number one records (yuck) and popular posters (YUCK) and now critically rave reviews for finally being a 'real' actor. So what does he do with all this success? He becomes the producer, writer, creator of such hit tv shows as 'Invasion', 'American Gothic' and 'The Agency'. I guess he no longer needed the spotlight. What am I rambling about? Oh yeah! LOL!
I remember watching that movie with my sister in 1979 just before she left to get married. My other sister and brother had both left the month before when they both got married too...lol I was the last to leave and I'm STILL not married! LOL!
