What do you mean, safe from reporters? Certainly, reporters are as easily able to read these questions and answers as any other person. On the other hand, do they have the time to weed the wheat from the chaff? Considering the amount of garbage posted on Yahoo! Answers, I doubt it.

How would we know? How would what I say on here be of any interest to a reporter? What would they say was their source? We're anonymous. I can just see a reporter turning in a story based on anonymous accounts from anonymous people. Wouldnt fly.

i'm a reporter! but you guys don't say anything worth reporting, so it's cool.
the most important caveat of journalism is citing your sources with permission. journalists won't use your quotes without asking. i promise.

I have yet to see one. I am sure swomeday though, someone will want to commit suiceide and someoen here will give them advise on doing it right, and they will investigate it and try to sue yaho.
