No-one, NO ONE CIRCLES the wagons like the Buffalo Bills!
And "it ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun", New England! I'm the eternal optimist when it comes to Bills preseason hype, however our athletic, charismatic, and rocket armed J.P.Losman looks like the guy everyone will be talking about this season. Improved pass protection in some under the radar free agency signings. Two multi dimensional franchise caliber running backs a sleeper-slider QB, a Conlanesque Penn State linebacker in a wonderful draft. Tremendous depth and speed at wide reciever. Loaded at safety. Corners who'll cover and tackle a bit instead of gambling for INTs. A nasty group of DEs. Are Dick Jauron and Marv Levy blowing smoke up our butts with their optimism? Am I?

Zen question of the day... If a Frontrunner, oops Patriot Nation fan falls off the bandwaggon, and no one is there to see it-Does he really fall? C'mon Patriot Nation, correct my spelling and pound your banwaggons loud!

Well while I am a Patriot fan I do commend your optimism considering I too was just like you back when the Patriots sucked and nobody gave a flying f*ck about them. A lot of people (fans of other teams) will probably give you loads of crap for calling them out but my hats off to you my good man. You believe in your team no matter what happens, you guys lose a franchise back and you're still running into the season with your head held high... good man! You my friend are the epitome of a TRUE FAN. I'm glad to see that our arch nemesis is finally coming together because I will say, I'm tired of the Colts being our only real competition. See ya in the regular season man... congrats on the quarterback situation, its good to see Losman finally coming along.

I'm not a Buffalo Bills fan (although I loved to watch Andre Reed play back in the day), but there's plenty to be excited about in Buffalo. They did lose Nate Clements, London Fletcher, and Takeo Spikes but they would have hampered their salary cap by overpaying for Clements as the 49ers did. Fletcher as effective as he was last year is on the tail end of his career and they've played virtually the last two seasons without the services of Takeo Spikes, so you can't miss what you didn't have. They still have a solid secondary even with the loss of Clements. Donte Whitner proved to not be a reach in the first round last year as he exceeded expectations. They didn't get Patrick Willis, whom they targeted in the draft, but they got perhaps the steal of the draft in Poslunzy, the latest great linebacker to come from Linebacker U. They have a very underrated defensive line, so I think they'll be okay on that side of the ball. Offensively, they invested in improving the line to better protect their young quarterback J.P. Losman, who last season looked more like the QB I saw when he was at Tulane. Lee Evans is one of the most underrated WR's in the NFL. Marshawn Lynch is a welcome addition and he should start from Week 1. They're in a tough division, but I believe this team can compete.

I'm not excited, but I am glad to see that they might be getting better. I am still skeptical about Losman. He had one okay year. He also had two bad ones. I would like to see some consistency. I didn't like the idea of getting rid of McGahee either. I thought McGahee would have been a good back to build with McGahee. They also lost Clements in secondary. I believe he was over hyped in the free agent market, but on that team, he was the best corner. I would have liked them to keep the players that they had and let Losman either sink or swim with no excuses.

I think they will be better than the Fins, but not quite as good as NE (who I think is in for a let down this season) or NY. Possibly 9-7 if Lynch can get a hold on the offense, but more than likely 7-9.

Well, I suppose I'm not as optimistic as you. Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish, Peerless Price....all great #3 guys...but one of them is #2, and that's no good. Other than that though....the offense is going to surprise people. Our special teams are easily top 3.

I wouldn't say we're "loaded" in the secondary either, especially at safety. The defense worries me....this year, at least. I like that better, last year I was worrying how it would do that season(it sucked, like the year before) and I was worrying what we'd do with all the old guys. Now I'm just worried about it being bad now, not later too...

Oh...and Fletcher and Spikes were in our top 3? Ever hear about Lee Evans, or Aaron Schobel...or Jason Peters? Better than either of them, easy. Clements probably belonged though, but one player doesn't make or break a defense. Especially not a corner.

The bills are in the wrong divison at the wrong time. They have let teams in there divison upgrade around them. But i see the bills being good in 2 more years when they get some experience. But i see Lee evans going to the Pro Bowl 1300 10 tds

Gonna be a good season...only real concern is the DTs
QB-set with JP
RB-Marshawn is twice the back Willis was...ATrain is better as well....and Wright could be a solid goalline back...spilt Marshawn out
WR-Evans is a superstar in the making...Peerless will hopefully revert to form and between Josh and Roscoe...the 3rd spot is in good hands
OL-greatly improved with Dockery and Walker
TE...the OL improvements will allow Royal to get out in patterns more...and Everett impressed in OTAs and minicamp...add in Cieslak and Neufeld and it's a strength

DEs...Schobel and Kelsay are solid but not spectacular and Denney and Hargrove are solid backups
DT...Triplett and Williams....question marks behind them
LB...Crowell-DiGiorgio/Poz-Ellison should be a great combo for years...I'm thinking Poz will be starting at MLB
CB-McGee and Webster (if he stays healthy) should be good in the Cover 2 scheme we use...Greer, Thomas, Youboty provide solid depth
S-Whitner and Simpson are gonna hold down those spots for the next decade and do a great job at it as well
ST-Moorman is the best P in the league...Lindell got a bum rap 2 years ago...he's solid...Schenck is flawless at LS...the great Steve Tasker's offseason work with the coverage units will bounce them back to the best in the NFL
Parrish, Scobey, McGee...solid returners

Plenty of Bills fans out there. They've just been quiet the last few years.

I'd be more excited about the Bills if three of their best defensive players, Clements, Fletcher and Spikes, hadn't left in the offseason. There will be more offense this season, but less defense. Sounds like 8-8 at best to me.

I dunno..........it takes the tension off of Lee Evans. this is going to be an somewhat exciting NFL season. Trent Edwards the Buffalo QB in basic terms began for 2 years now. he's extremely in-experienced to T.O.'s Like-ing. I dunno................we seen this previously.............we can see although.
