Websites are just for fun. They can't estimate your condition or how your exact location may effect your value. They will be off thousands of dollars.

Call a real estate agent for a CMA.

Yes there are but if you give them the info, you end up on a cold call list.

Some real estate offices do give free assessments if you are even considering selling.

You can also get an idea of how much your house is worth by looking at Yahoo Real Estate in your area and see what the houses in your area are selling for and which ones are closest to your type/style and features.

Where do you live? Have an agent give you some comparables to work with or get your assessment online. The assessment will not be current (6 months back) but it can give a clear picture of what your house may be worth along with the comparables you agent pulls for you.

No. There are assorted sites which will give you a guess at it, but they're not reliable. Everyone on here seems to think that www.zillow.com is supposedly accurate. They may be in some cases, but not in mine. They tossed a value for my premises at me of $172,600. The house and land appraise (fairly) at considerably over $300,000.

Here is a very helpful site that will give you an estimate, but please remember this is only an estimate, getting an appraisal is always the best way to get a true fair market value. Hope this helps!

You can get ESTIMATES from several websites. Only an actual appraisal can give you an actual value. NO website can actually look at your house and do a REAL appraisal.

I agree with acermill, Zillow is far from accurate in my area too.

Have a Realtor come give you a CMA, its free.

You can try zillow.com. Not entirely accurate, but gives an estimate based on recent comparable sales.
