For adults Six flags in Texas beats them all.
For kids Disney World in Florida.
And I am from Los Angeles so I have been to most the parks in SoCal.

Definitely Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. They had some awesome rides (more adult rides though). Another one I enjoyed was Knott's Berry Farm. They have stuff for both young kids and adults.
