You should defiantly go talk to your doctor. They'll be able to recommend the best form of birth control for your situation based on your past medical history. Most likely they will recommend getting on the pill, a shot, ring, or patch. Since you haven't had a child before they probably won't recommend an IUD (Mirena, Paraguard). But your doctor will be able to recommend and prescribe the best thing for you.

The best way not to get pregnant is not to have sex but as you just got married that won't suit you..You could have the coil ,some people don't like this because it is not a contraceptive because it allows the egg to be fertilises by the sperm but stops it implanting there for you are causing a abortion each month. My daughter in law used this method for years but did fall pregnant but the feotus and coil interlocked so she had to abort it . or there is the pill which you have to be sure to take at the right time and if you are sick or on some antibiotics can fail to work. You can have Depro injection this lasts 3 months and must be repeated at the right time or if you are sure you do not want a baby for a couple of years there is an implant which is a stick put in to your arm under the skin which releases hormones to stop you getting pregnant for up to 3 years or till you want a baby which ever is shortest.Go to FPA or your doctors and they will discuss the options and prescribe what is most suitable.for you

COnsulting a doctor will be much more helpful than consulting Yahoo! Answers.

There are numerous birth control options, ranging from the pull out method and cycle charting (abstianing from intercourse during your most fertile period), which should be avoided if you are going to be upset by a surprise pregnancy to hormones such as birth control patches, pills and shots, etc.

I had an IUD in place at one time. It was the non hormonal version, and I would HIGHLY recommend it. It does not interrupt your hormones (which can cause difficulty later when you DO want to try to conceive), and does not interrupt your life at all...no worrying about remembering to take it on time, etc. and when you are ready to get pregnant, just get it removed. It is quite costly, though.

Congratulations on your marriage!

Go on the pill or the depo shot. Just make sure you go off them in enough time to get it out of your system before trying for the baby in two yrs.
As for hubby not liking condoms...you can still get pregnant while on the pill and on the shot so if you are adamant about not getting pregnant until two yrs have passed then you need to use them too.

Well there are birth control pills, patches, the nuva ring, depo provera(i wouldnt recommend this), and barrier methods for women.

The advantages to the hormone therapy is it makes sex spontaneous and worry free for the most part. Barrier methods take away from the carefree, whoppy jump on the good foot and do the bad thing.

There are risks of pregnancy with all methods of birth control, including the hormone therapy. Yes i would suggest you talk to your doctor about whats best for you and your lifestyle.

My sister got an IUD. They put it in you and it last for 5-10yrs. Or whenever you wanna take it out. Look into it. Im 28weeks pregnant AND I have a 1yr old son. I've been with my husband for 4yrs and I wasnt ready for a kid and when I got pregnant the 1st time with my son I was soo upset. I would NOT do the Birth Control pills thats how I got pregnant I was taking them for 3yrs and I had to take antibiotics and I didnt know and my Doctor did TELL ME it was going to Cancel my Birth Control out. So thats how I ended up getting pregnant my 1st time. The 2nd time didnt wanna get pregnant either but we didnt get ANY birth control but a condom and well that didnt hold up so yea Im pregnant again. Soo, I called my Mom and my Sister and said I DO NOT want to get pregnant again and my Mom told me to get a IUD so I think Im gonna get one right after I have this baby. So yea look into it!!! Good Luck Doll.

Hey
You can use birth control pills or have and IUD (Intra- uterine device) placed in your uterus.Nowadays even sub dermal implants like NORPLANT and depot Injection of Drugs that last for 1 year or so.That is quite cool you don't have to take pill everyday. Choice between these lies on your personal preference and previous history, for that you definitely need to consult a doctor. Hope it helps.

PLEASE go to the doctor (OB/GYN) and get advise on all of the methods that are available to you. You need to know all of the pros (good things) as well as the cons (bad things) of each method.
For example my daughter is on a shot that seems to wrok really well, but you have a tendency to gain weight.
You need to do what is comfortable for you.
A personal note, I think it is very selfish of your husband to not want to wear a condom. While there may be a bit of discomfort, there are no real side effects. I think it is unfair for you to shoulder all of the burden. Like they say it takes two to tango (it is a two way street).

Google the Billings method. It's natural prevention of pregnancy as well as ways to naturally conceive. It will help you prevent pregnancy w/o drugs and also when you DO decide to try, you will already be very familiar with your body and that will make it much easier when you know your fertile/unfertile periods.
