Jack Walker 39

Jack Laviolette 38

Bobby Rowe 38

Jim Anderson 37

Helmut Balderis 37

Helge Bostrom 36

Many of these players had outstanding hockey careers as most stem from the early 1900's and played most of their careers before the NHL was the mainstay of hockey, thus entering the NHL at an advanced age. Balderis on the other hand played in the Soviet system for many years before being able to play in North America.

That would be Helmut Balderis. He was a great Soviet hockey player who was drafted by Minnesota at the age of 36. He scored his first goal in the NHL at 37. I believe that's the record.

I know he wasn't the oldest but Al Arbour was up then when he scored his first. He didn't make it into the league until he was 32. Just my two cents worth (or 2 pt worth).
