keep in a pot as it won't take a winter at this age - put outside and give it indirect sun until it is used to the elements - keep watered if starts to get dry - then gradually give it some morning sun and afternoon shade for a few weeks and then try longer periods of sun until it is well adjusted to the elements - bring inside when the frosts start and winter indoors the first year keeping it under a flourescent or sunny window - tke outside when frosts end in the spring, it will go thru a growth spurt and may adapt well into summer - keep moist and transplant in the fall.

Citrus trees will not survive freezing temperatures as you have in Utah, however if you can maintain it in a large enough pot you can bring it inside by a window in the winter.
Another note to consider is I don't think it will bear fruit if planted from a seed, citrus plants are usually grafted from good rootstock so you may have to purchase a healthy plant or graft it yourself from another citrus tree. Hope this was helpful ;<)

When the roots outgrow the little pot, plant it in a larger one. When it's about 4" tall you can start fertilizing it with Miracid. Then find a friend in Arizona or California who can plant it in their backyard. It won't do well as a houseplant.
