Maybe there is something wrong with the bathtub then. It could be the drain is not working, so the sewer smells is what you smell. Maybe the house just needs a cleaning. I hope this helps.

** Another idea: just sniff down the drain. If you are sure it is coming from there, call someone to check it out maybe?

if u'r house is smelling like mold... then u may have leaks somewhere in the walls & eventually will come thru but meanwhile it is deadly to humans. 2nd if u'r smelling urine, then someone that lived in the house b/4 had animals & may have urinated on carpet/floors & will only show up if it's humid. 3rd if u'r smelling rotten eggs... i would adventure it's sewage. b/c we had major problems when we moved into a abandon house.. of course the nt. b/4 Thanksgiving. So u need to get someone that is REALIABLE to come out & ck it out. Then go from there. Since u stated u'r tub doesn't drain.. i start there... it could b sewage along w/ the mold problem.. so that would help in solving Problems 1 & 3.

Hire a home inspector to find out if there are molds in your house or there are plumbing problems. I will be more concerned with molds because some molds could make you very sick. You should have inspected the house through a professional before you bought it.

Do you have a septic? If so I would check with the previous owners and find out when they had it pumped out last. It should be done every 3-5 years, depending on the size of your family. We have lived in our place for 3 1/2 years and had to have it pumped last week and it had been done just before we moved in. If it is full this will cause bath tubs and sinks to back-up.

Get someone to unstop the plumbing.....I'll bet the smell will go away after that's taken care of! Good luck.

No. the abode i'm renting had the two, I insisted on new carpets and the owner obliged. He additionally skill washed the basement with bleach, yet I save getting water in the basement, so it stinks back. fortuitously, you may in basic terms scent the mildew in the basement.
