There are often Asian or Italian focused cookery progs on TV but I havent really seen many that would focus on African or West Indian food. Considering the UK has a large African and West Indian population it seems odd?

This question is based in the UK where we have a large population of African and West Indian communities but no 'face' on TV. The programme with Nenah and Andi didnt really focus on just that type of food and I personally thought it was a bit gimmicky. I mean that it isnt mainstream, everyday and yet as afrowoman states plenty of people love caribbean food.
Im going to ignore the comments about bushmeat and mcdonalds, Im not interested in bigoted stereotypes

There is a show that a guy has that is on Creole cooking. I don't know what you are implying with this question but all it means is that they don't have a show for it and not that these types of cooking don't exist.

So what doest that suggest to you?
It's not that our foods are not liked. I see enough people wanting jerk chicken, patties and curry goat and rice when I go to the carnival. They like the fried fish and hard dough bread too.
I even see Carol in the big brother house making fried dumplings.

Most of us know very little about either type of cooking. But if you do, why not suggest it to your local PBS station? They may make you a star!
