NO way ! Get a good quality mop... I like the libman wonder mop it has microfiber strips that really pick up dirt.. Plus you can remove and wash in the washing machine... I like to sweep/vacuum my kitchen and get a bucket of hot, soapy water and mop my floor... I also use a microfiber dust broom to dry the floor... I wouldn't get on my hands/knees for washing the floor.

Personally, I like washing my floors using a Handiwipe and either Mr. Clean and very hot water or Formula 409 and very hot water. I just get down on my hands and knees and wash the floor, baseboard and the corners.

no, don't use your hand, use your hand or a broom to sweep up large things and then use a Swifer Wet Jet, they are awesome:]
