Why is there no Statute of Limitations on Impeachment??? Did the founders know we would all be lazy Americans?

300 million people and no one is in Washington DC protesting Congresses lack luster proformance.

There is a statute of limitations on impeachment. It is called "elections." Don't get re-elected, don't get impeached.

Huh? With a finite term of office, what purpose would a statute of limitations serve? The founders knew exactly what they were doing and didn't waste time on non-issues.
