Who commit suicide remain on Earth...as a ghost? If so, would they stay because they have unfinished business or don't know that they are dead?

Depends on how they died I guess. It's a definite theory that traumatic deaths like murders and suicides can keep a spirit here, if you don't go by suicide being an express route to hell. Which I don't, but that's me.

Another scenario is that wherever the event happened there could be a left over energy deposit, especially when the event was traumatic. Which may or may not spell ghost activity.
Acting like a tape playing over and over again...but not an actual spirit.

Then again if spirits do get trapped either because they have unfinished business, they're tormented, they don't know that they're dead, etc...you in theory should have a much different haunting.

I'd say both your examples can be a cause, it just depends I think on the circumstances of the death and how the person was in life, their personality, how they felt, how strong their spirit/will was.
I can't say exactly if it's true or not, but the theory does make some sense, it just hasn't been 100% proven yet.
I think though, personally, it could and probably has happened.

those that commit suicide, know on some level, that they came into this life, and just didn't belong, most feel it from a very young age and realize that they just do not "fit in" to this existence........they do not in any way get "punished" for voluntarily moving on........as sad as it might be for those who remain and do not understand, there is a skip in time, or a tear in space when these people came into this life without true thought of consequence and really should have waited for the next train so to speak. (although there is reason and value in each and every existence and those who come here even if only for a short time, do have their reasons whether they remember them in this lifetime or not)Their Soul "Jumped Ahead Of It's Time" If You Will. These beautiful souls go on with the rest, returning at will once they reach the light of the other side. We all "make it," and we all have the ability to return at will to visit the ones we love that are left behind until it is their time to cross over.

I believe in a God who is kind and understanding, as well as omnipotent. If some troubled soul is overwhelmed by problems and kills himself, I do not personally approve of this as a solution, but I believe God will understand the reasons and offer some sympathetic healing.

Rumors that suicides remain, wandering and confused, only add to the tremendous hurt suicides leave to the people left behind. There is no way to ease the pain of a loved one killing himself. It is like an open wound, filled with guilt feelings and "If only's."

God must know this and therefore, cannot be cruel to an achingly depressed and suicidal person. It's a tragedy that some people are left to endure and it makes no sense whatsoever. If anyone you know speaks of suicide or suffers from depression, get help as quickly as possible.

The souls of those that commit suicide may remain on earth because they have things left to complete in the life that they cut short. Thats one theory. It may or may not be true. No one has any way of knowing what really happens to anyones soul. All we can do is hope that our loved ones are at peace no matter where they are.

Souls who stay on earth do so for a number of reasons. Sometimes they died suddenly and aren't aware that they're dead. Sometimes they have unfinished business (someone they worry about and want to know they're okay or in one case I had, a little boy who'd died while lost in the woods and even after his death was still in search of his mother). Sometimes they have a message to pass on. sometimes they're afraid of judgment (they won't get it, god doesn't judge in the way most people think, people do that). Sometimes they're simply afraid of the walk down the tunnel alone (even though there's a light at the end of it, it's a pitch black tunnel).

IOW... how they die doesn't necessarily mean they'll stay on earth. The two things aren't correlated, and if they are, it's purely by chance.

In order to answer this question well, more information would be needed... such as what religion you are (most religions have something or other to say about the topic)

Anyway, since I have such limited info, I'm just gonna give you my opinion... It says in the Bible that if you commit suicide, you go to hell. Period. It also says in the bible that 'souls' cannot be on earth after death. It flat out says that there is no such thing as ghosts.

So, if you believe in the bible, that's your answer. If not, it probably won't be of help.

This kind of thing really just depends on what you personally believe. IT cannot be proven in any scientific way that souls go to one place or another. Wouldn't that be nice though? :)

perhaps. Usually when people commit suicide it's because of either insanity, severe depression, or trapped in a bad situation like a nightmare. Sometimes it's better for them just to get out and start over.

No. They get put right back into a body and right back into the same/similar crap they were just in until they learn that suicide is not the answer.

So the thing to remember is that if you don't like what you're going through...do you *really* want to do it again? If the answer is no, find a way to figure out what is going on and work through it.

That is not how it work..... You should read more and not listen to those that have never experiences death or the paranormal.. There are a lot of stories out there written by people that have never experience death and I find it hard for me to believe them... And no family member that I would know has died has ever came back and told me that I have been dead for 5 years and this is what it is like............................................... Also if you have ever read the bible you should know that God said you can not talk to the dead what you are talking to are demons that come in disguised of the dead and talk with you.... And since demons serve Satan and not God why would you even bother to believe them....................................
