This is an interesting question! Since no government today can solve the Iraq war and the terrorists, would you say the Nazis of yesteryear could have solved today's terrorist problems? (watch some say the Nazis don't exist anymore!) Just suppose this was possible today.

The Nazis would not join forces with the terrorists. They wouldn't share Europe with anyone. Why share something with someone else when you could have it all for yourself?

The Nazis, the Luftwaffe, the Kriegsmarine and Wehrmacht could not do much better than European or American forces are in beating terrorism.

Terrorists are not an army, but rather cells that move from place to place. They can hide very easily.

The only difference I may offer is how the WWII Germans would have tactically fought the terrorist cells as opposed to the Allies. The Germans would simply have taken out the entire sector where the cell allegedly would be, regardless of whether or not the terrorist cell was actually there. They would simply destroy the entire city and village and every man woman, child and animal that was within twenty miles of that sector.

Please note that this is how they would have conducted the war on terrorism, not an endorsement by any stretch of the imagination.

The Nazis probably would have defeated the terrorists in the 1930s and 40s. But this army had a total oppression tactic. That is, eliminate everyone who might even be suspected of getting in the way, civilians included. The Nazi Army was like ours in that it was a uniformed Army. The U.S. Army goes in to root out the trouble makers. That takes time and extended effort. The Nazi Army went in to other countries to round up people for detention or elimination, and burn and destroy anything that could have future use as a tool of opposition. That included any processing facility, foundry, and government buildings where people might gather.

The Nazi Ideology versus the ideology of terrorists is a good match in my opinion. Nazism would impose martial law across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. At the same time, however, terrorists (or rebels) would try to overthrow the despotic government Nazis would instill. I believe that in the end terrorists would gain the favor of the people and overthrow the Nazi government.

This is not such an interesting question - it's only a discussion about two very evil aspects of society. It is irrelevant to me, whether one evil group wins or another because nothing good can come out of it. I am only interested that both evil terrorist groups be defeated.

The Nazis were terrorists too - government sponsored terrorism - what else would you call killing innocent people in concentration camps?

A good example of the political expediency of the Nazi's, modern day, would be...well, actually, I was going to say Saddam, but that is unjust to the Nazis. They didn't have rape rooms or openly poison civilian populations. They just quietly put them in ovens and burned them/poisoned them.

But it's similar. It didn't work. Insurgents continued to give Hitler trouble no matter how severe he got.

One cannot cure terrorism. It will last forever.

But like disease, even though you can never "win" by totally getting rid of terrorism, it is at least clear that giving in is suicidal. There is no government save Islam that has been successful in getting rid of terrorism.

They do it by giving them a target outside themselves.

Us.

Heck the Nazi's couldn't beat the Russians at Stalingrad! What makes anyone think they could do any better with the terrorists, or the Iraqi's?

Actually the Nazis would have joined forces with terrorists and share their twisted goal of world domination. One would be as deluded as the other.

The l;ast time the Nazi' tried to take over a country 6 million people died. Also, they would not stop. They would move all over the Middle East.

That is by far the stupidist suggestion for ending the war, EVER.

I think they would. they would not have one arm tied be hind there back. and the Nazis would not worry about who they shoot or kill.and if a reporter reported something they did not like ,they would shoot them also if the terrorists would blow up something like they do now the Nazis would take the hole town out no question ask. but he US?Army does not do thing this way and it a good thing .But some times it happens and it is to bad.they go out of there way not to. and it some times cost our men.s life.the terrorists look just like every one else.
