I found a live webcam of Groningen's market...
http://www.exceptionit.net/webcam/

That link shows you a live view of a market in Groningen ... now my question is ... what is that place if you've been there... is it in the downtown of Groningen... is it shops?

Also, do they have festivals here or what?Just tell me about that link if you know where is it.

Thanks :)

What you see is the heart of the city center. A few days a week they have a market on this square. On the right you see old houses and on the bottom of those houses there are pubs, every pub has it's own terrace. In the houses on the left there is not so much to do, there are plans to build there a new modern building. On the corner on the left you have the tourist info. Not on the camera, but a little more to the left there is the Martinitoren, a big tower in the center of Groningen. Sometimes they have special things to do on this square, like a fun fair or music.
One of the most famous festivals in Groningen is Noorderzon, a theater festival in a park, close to the city center. Every year, the last 10 days of August.

The market is the main market square in the old town, and it where festivals will be.
It is the heart of the town, shops, places to drink and eat are around, about the top of the town.
(As Americans will say, Down town. English people would say, where the High street starts.)
