I do.

BECAUSE: As the instrument ages it produces a way better richer sound. Think about the strad violin. They were made in the 1700`s ( I think) and are the best of the best.

I have an old 1960s Yamaha and I promise you, that thing rocks. It will hang in there with the best of Gibsons, and Martins.

I have a new guitar and I always reach for my old Yamaha..
The age gives it what you are looking for.

Check out this site and read the reviews BEFORE you buy anything..

That all depends on whether or not you know what to look for.

If you're an experienced guitarist, you know that you can find some real deals in the newspaper; excellent guitars that are in very good shape.

If you DON'T know what to look for, you can get ripped-off pretty easily...

Stevie Ray Vaughan started his career with a used guitar.

It depends on the condition and the brand. Me, personally...I'd buy a brand new guitar. (Although I own a couple of used ones)

Why not? It has character and it may be a good value... but make sure it "talks" to you.
