I've got a big massive bath, which takes about twenty minutes to fill with lovely hot water. I probably have a bath every day, cause I like it, and as a result my gas bill in astranomical. My boyfriend rekons I should just have a shower but I'm selfish like that. I was just wondering if any of you clever types out there could figure out how much on average powergen like to charge me for these indulgent bathtimes, Thanks!

Can't give you the cost, but you are not figuring in all the gas. Figure the water at 2-1/2 gallons per minute. When you turn on the hot water, the tank starts refilling with cold water and the water heater comes on. 20 minutes of running the water equals 50 gallons. What size is your heater tank? Basically, you have used all the hot water in the tank so it will probably take an hour or more of gas to reheat the water before the unit shuts off.

Well, it is not just the price of gas, but also the age and condition of your heating equipment.
