You know they can do so much with computers and digital photography now-a-days that... well... I would just be careful about believing anything you see on the Internet. If Ragu Sauce were real, you'd be able to by it at a grocery store.

If the seal isn't broken (you can tell when you remove the lid) I'd eat it. It also has enough acid and salt so if it was bad, you'd know. The expiration date is probably hidden in the lot number and you have to contact the manufacturer to find out. That's true with many foods. Even so, the expiration on something like spaghetti sauce isn't a real expiration but a "best if used by" date.

Anything that's made by Hormel is pretty suspect in my opinion. (I'm a veggie) Marinara Sauce is my favorite.

I use a different brand. One that isn't made by Hormel. And one that doesn't have meat added to it.
