I believe A-Rod would like to stay with the Yankees and work out a new ten year deal with the Yankees. He has a real shot to be the all-time homerun king and I don't think he wants to go around looking for a new team in the middle of the chase. The Yankee fans will begin to embrace A-Rod as he attempts to bring the all-time homerun leader honors back to New York where Yankee fans believe it belongs.

The news is that the Yankees plan to make an offer and secure him for another 5 years before his contract expires and he is able to free trade. I think A-Rod will take a good offer, and I hope he stays in NY.

Let's Go Yankees!!

no, the yankees are in too tight of a race to trade away such a productive player. plus no team, at this point, will be willing to take on his salary or trade what the yankess would be seeking in return.
they'll probably try hard to re-sign him at the end of the year but i think they know that a-rod is not a team player. he doesn't really care about. winning or rings. he just wants to get paid. most of the numbers i hear being circulated are $30 million per season. the yankees probably won't pony up that much dough and will let him sign elsewhere. they can replace him much easier. my guess is a-rod will got a crappy team that will pay him a lot of money but where he will get to flout his massive ego. just like when he left seattle and the shadow of griffey jr. for texas where he languished for years until coming to ny and the shadow of jeter, clemens, et al.

no... remeber he has a no-trade clause and can veto any trade. He would never waive it because it would make him look bad opting out of a contract after being with a team for just 1/2 a year.

arod will not be traded the yankees will resign him before he becomes a free agent so that they don't have to give 29 million dollars back to texas.

No. At his price, there's little advantage to getting him for only 2 months of a season (since he can opt for free agency after this season).

No. He is such a great player, that to obtain him, you would have to give up too much. Like, highly regarded prospects or two to three average players/pitchers.

Plus, who will want to take on that gigantic salaray?

No one can afford him. Maybe the Red Sox, Mets or Angels can but they don't want to go broke. Red Sox don't want him, Mets don't need him, and Angels, well maybe they could use him somewhere but 3B and SS are covered pretty well.
