I am amazed you are allowing any negativity be directed toward Clinton, by listing him as a choice is very refreshing I must say.

Your first poster speaks without authority. The size of federal government shrank under Clinton.

The largest offender was Reagan when it came to growing the government, but the Bush boy is working hard to catch up with all of his post 9/11 police state bureaus. The irony is that these guys are considered conservatives.

Bush II claims the largest deficit in US history.

Bush 2. The growth in government is inexcusable. Clinton had a Republican led Congress for 6 years. That group actually believed in limited government. Bush nor the recent Republicans believed in either, which is why they were voted out.

You miss a key point on why the deficit grew 9-11. Due to the tax cuts, the deficit has shrunk

George the Second grew the deficit because of the recession he inherited from Clinton.
Then, he grew it because of 9/11.
Then it was the Iraq war.
Now, after a smokin' Hot economy providing millions of jobs and huge increases in Gov. revenue=taxes, we're still in the red ink!
George doesn't need anymore excuses, he just needs to go.

Just patented efforts of a political hack..that thinks he knows it all..

why don't you acknowledge the fact that 9-11..and Clinton's
waste in the latter 2 years..of offsetting Military expenditures
until 2000, the Strategic Oil Supply and sundry expenditures beyond the norm... left GWB in terrible shape..?

the tech bubble burst..and was the reason for revenues of the 90's...not a thieving liar from Arkansas
if things are so bad..why do the GSA Union members get a raise...every year?

instead of demagoguery of Economics..that you have little

That would be George 'cut taxes and increase spending' W Bush (Bush #2), by far.

Bush #1 was second-worst, but Reagan was close behind. Clinton created a big surplus by the end of his terms.

Aactually the economy was going sour at the end of Clintons era. I was reading this in a 1999 Times magazine article. It said it would be up to the next president to play his cards right or we'd go down. The President didn't get much of a chance when 9/11 hit. But these old 1999 and 2000 Time and Newsweek articles didn't paint a pretty picture!

Prior to the current Bush administration, Reagan was the all-time champ on growing government, primarily in the defense deparment. The current Bush is doing a very good job at catching the "Gipper" though.

The largest U.S. federal deficit on record was in 2004 . Since that time, the size of the deficit has been cut nearly in half.
