i keep getting these bumps on my areolas. they kinda look like pimples, but bigger and much more painful. i have popped them, and they kinda pop like pimples, but the stuff that comes out is bright white and there is a LOT of it. anybody know if this is normal? i wondered if maybe it was due to wearing a bra all the time (even when sleeping)

lol, im out of puberty, and have been for a lil while now. i have been pregnant, but it was a miscarriage and it has been several years ago, and this is a new thing. i normally sleep in cotton sports bras, and wash them regularly.

Don't pop them and see a doctor.

Small, pimple-like bumps are normal around nipples, especially during puberty. You shouldn't pop them at all as the bumps are helping your breasts grow. Stop popping them from now on and the best thing for you to do would be to see a doctor.

These are probably infected areolar glands (Glands of Montgomery). Copious fluid from more than one gland is unusual in my experience. I would recommend frequent washing the areola with an antibacterial soap, rinse and dry well. Make sure your bras are regularly laundered and try not wearing one at night. If the condition continues, consult a gynecologist who specializes in adolescent care.

It sounds like infected hair follicles. If you don't have to wear a bra while sleeping, then I'd suggest not doing so. If you must wear one, then I'd suggest getting one that's cotton. Be sure to use bleach when you wash it, to cut down on the possibility of a bacterial infection. If the problem continues, then it's definitely time to see a doctor.
