I think that Rob will do a good job. He respects the horror genre and I do not feel that he would want to trample over the original.

It's possible. Rob knows how to make a good, creepy horror film, and the story of Halloween is a great one. Of course, nothing can surpass the surprises John Carpenter laid at our feet some 25 years ago. But, Zombie has promised that his new film isn't a rehash of Carpenter's film, but a retelling of a very similar, but still terrifying, story.
Let's hope he can do it. The trailer looks awesome.

No, only gorier...whether or not they will be box office successes are yet to be seen.
His last two movies, "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects" were box office bombs and made little to no money commercially. His best and only audience were his fans with a high gore-factor that even kept them on the radar screen because they love his music and/or his hot wife, Sherri Moon-Zombie.
Rob still uses his wife as the "Deborah Myers" in the movie, and because she, and the principal, "Malcolm McDowell", Dr. Loomis, because he is best known from his fan base 20+ years ago from "A Clockwork Orange" might be able to pull off at least pulling in a meager audience.

I don't know, Zombie has such a strange sense of humor I bet it might actually be funny in a rather dark way. Like 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects. Kinda disturbing but so crazy it's amusing.

Why "F" with something that doesn't need to be messed with?I personally think Rob Zombie sucks as a director and his remake will suck just like all his other movies.

no,it may be worse or it could be better. i can only hope it's a good flick. I am sure critics will bash it just like anyother movie they have in the past
