The past 2 or 3 days I have had brown vaginal discharge, I was thinking it could be my period, I've had my period since Janruary and last month I got it around this time even though I have been getting periods every other month since Januray. So it's brown discharge and not to sound nasty but it looks like a loogie when you have a sinus infection. Is this a vaginal infection or my period??? thanks sooo much

Brown discharge is just old blood that the body is just trying to get rid of. Unless it lasts for an extended amount of time, or is also accompanied by a foul odor it is quite normal and nothing to be concerned about.

It is hard to be specific because of lack of information. you say that you have been having periods every other month.Are they proper periods? or just a brownish discharge.how old are you ? are you in the menopausal age group or in the reproductive years.What means of contraception are you using.Have you had any post coital bleeding? Is the discharge offensive/ is there any vaginal soreness? could you possible have left a tampon in( I have seen brownish offensive discharge from this several times) All these Q are relevant . The best advice that I can give is to be assessed properly by your doctor who will be able to expand on my questioning

It's old blood. Nothing to worry about. most women get this at the beginning or end of their period.

its old blood and tissue. it might be either your period or an infection, give it a few more days and see if it clears up, if it doesnt go to the dr

brown fluid is old blood - i would not worry too much. however if you have a odor I would see your gyn.

its probably just your period, but you might want to ask your doctor.
