Laughing can be a defense mechanism. It can be a form of release when emotions overwhelm me. After all, I can cry when I'm not feeling sad. Why can't I laugh when I'm not happy? I laugh when situations are so outside my realm of experience and I don't know what my emotional response really is.

Of course, I usually DO start crying after I laugh under those circumstances.

When I do laugh under these circumstance, I'll apologize if I've offended anyone.

No!

Because you KNOW it's fake and the point of any movie is entertainment. Who the heck watches a movie in order to be disgusted?

If you have the sudden urge to try that stuff on someone, then you could call yourself a Psycho- because you can't differentiate between fiction and reality.

Hope that helps!

no clue, but I must be a psycho then, because I tend to laugh at almost all gory scenes. Either I laugh or just stare out of boredom, I never really get grossed out by movies like that, especially since I know that its only a movie, nothing more...

It's very possible. That would depend, however, on the people who see you. Some movies are shot in such a way that it could be funny given the circumstances that lead up to the deaths. It depends. Society does have some norms, so it pays to be careful. ;-)

I don't see how one can finding killing or torturing to be amusing. I think if one finds that amusingly entertaining then yes there is some sort of deviance in one's psyche. Good luck. 2D

No, but it does point in that direction. If you laugh at it that's just kind of weird.

No. It is perfectly normal. Better than getting upset; but don't try these things at home!
