Copyrighting Advise?

I'm from Singapore and I write lyrics. Can I copyright my work in USA and have it protected internationally?

foreign authors can indeed get a copyright registration for their work in the USA. that copyright will be recognized by members of the WTO which probably gives better protection from infringement than the basic Berne treaty provisions do.
