there should be a cover inside the tail gate on either side.remove the cover and you should find either access to the bulbs or some nuts you can remove to gain access to the bulbs.

More than likely you must remove some interior panels to access the Lense Mounting Hardware as well as the bulbs themselves which can usually be removed with a simple twist.

You may have to go in the trunk and take out the carpeting to get to the lights to change the bulb

Look at the rear of the unit housing! It's a bayonet fitting.

it should pull out from inside the car.
Maybe behind a plastic cover?
