Wouldn't the CEOs be sitting in jail with all of their wealth confiscated?

Is there any real difference between corporate and government corruption, other than the fact that its harder to prosecute members of the government? Aren't corporates more easily held accountable for their actions?

Social Security has been robbed blind ... we're talking about a seventy year old pension plan that never saved/invested a penny. This is EXACTLY what *some* companies have been shut down & prosecuted over, only on a MUCH larger scale.

Oh, Lord, don't get me started on that . . . !

If I even tried to be courteous in an answer to that question I'd probably be banned and shot by the Y/A police . . .

And then arrested and shot by the F.B.I. . . .

Answering your question would really make me have a bad day.

All I can safely say is, "You're absolutely right!"

In private industry, it is a bit easier to target a particular person as the C.E.O. This what happened at ENRON and even that took years to sort out, with a good number of insiders probablt walking away scot free with a lot of cash. Social Security has not been robbed in the same fashion, though there is a lot of effort to back off on the pledges that were made. The real difficulty is that too many people have run it for too long to pinpoit any one person or group.

Well I think America has been feeding the idea of Rich getting richer. I think that Corporations and the current Government are washing each others back. I know this is going to sound crazy but on Sept eleventh one of the buildings which came crumbling down (tower 7) had documentation which would have proved the corporate giants like world.com and many others, to be linked with the STEALING of workers SSI and those company's are partly responsible for getting bush in the white house the first time.
