OK, So here's the deal... Noticed yesterday the clutch in our 91 nissan sentra seemed kinda loose.. figured ok, will have to get it in ..Driving down the street yesterday and all of a sudden go to switch into third and there is no getting into any gears, push the clutch in and it stays on the floor, so after a nice tow, we get back, everyone said it was a hose or something, but the hose is fine, there was no loud noise liek teh clutch itself actually going, and we can't find anywhere to add fluid to the transmission... so what do we do? what could it be? There is literally no pressure behind the clutch. Someone said the transmission isn't seized, because when it's not running you can put it into all teh gears... any ideas???

Manual transmissions don't have transmission fluid.

You have a hydraulic clutch mechanism. There should be a clutch fluid reservoir next to the brake fluid reservoir. Check the fluid in the one for the clutch and if it is not low, the system could be plugged up by dirt etc. If everything is OK there check to make sure the linkage from the pedal to the cylinder is still connected OK. If those things are OK, you need to check the other end of the system at the front of the transmission (follow the hose from the cylinder the clutch pedal connects to) and make sure it is still connected to the arm that goes in the clutch. If all that is OK you either have a clogged system, bad cylinder or need a new clutch. Transmission is OK...

You've got a hydraulic clutch. Look around the drivers side of the engine compartment for the clutch fluid. Sounds like your master cylinder, tubing, or slave cylinder has went bad. See if it needs any fluid (brake fluid will do). If it does, put some in and see if the clutch stiffens up and watch for leaks. Good luck.

You're out of clutch (brake) fluid in the clutch master cylinder.
It's right next to the brake master cylinder. Just smaller.

And it uses dot-3 brake fluid. NOT HYDRAULIC FLUID.
