I use a shaving cream for sensitive skin - Colgate or Barbasol, usually. I always use men's shaving cream - I get a better, smoother shave than with those women's shave gels. The women's gels are often too perfumy for me, and sometimes irritated my skin. I have the best luck with ordinary Bic women's disposable razors (the pink ones that have several in a pack). Apply a thin layer of cream, and shave upwards (against the direction of your hair growth). I usually have to shave the area twice to miss stubborn hairs. Always apply another layer of cream before going over the area a second time.

It took me some time to get my routine down, but now I rarely get razor burn and bumps. Also, I always apply body lotion to my bikini area while it is still damp. I find this reduces irritation.

are you using any kind of gel or shaving creme?
I use good old sensitive razors ( when not using clippers) shaving gel and away I go. Don't rush it and I always shave towards my navel, then across the way. make sure it is a NEW razor

Hope it helps

Waxing wont leave you with burns or roughness too

Dont shave against the grain. Try doing it in the bath or shower. Or go to a salon and get a brazilian wax.

Not a problem if you dont do it in public.

Use a new and sharp razor. Cut hair as short as possible beforehand. Do it SLOWLY. Keep eveything clean.
