Is he worth the money and will it increase the popularity of soccer(football,sorry) in this country?

I don't think soccer will emerge as a rival of
NFL, NBA or American Baseball. However, it
has gained some popularity here in the USA
in the past few years. Who knows, maybe
that Yahooey guy named Bill will give you a
better answer.

I think it will mean massive crowds, even people who do not like the sport will come along just for the Beckham factor. He is worth the money easily and this will start a new era for soccer in the US.
