I have to say Bush is a bad President, but Madison was just as horrible. Like Bush, he started an unnecessary war that he managed incompetently. The United States almost lost its independence when his troops failed to stop the British from landing in the Chesapeake and burning Washington. His commanders botched the invasion of Canada and lost Michigan in the process.

If it was not for luck and the fact the British were fighting the tyrannical Napoleon, we would be living in a unified British North America extending from the Arctic to the Rio Grande.

Makes you wonder what Madison would have thought of FDR. Closest thing to a King we've had. Bush isn't even close. He is restrained...even if you don't see it. It still comes down to what is inside a man as to whether he can use the power he has to be a dictator. I don't see all you libs in jail. I do see you have to right to verbally pollute with your words of hate whoever, whenever and wherever you want. There are still free elections, look back just a few months ago. Republicans didn't mysteriously win, did they? Yes, freedoms are disappearing slowly but that has been happening since the early 1900's. You want to see a quantum leap in rights disappearing? Vote Hillary in.
