ok i know my stuff about computers but i havent really had the time to research the dx10 thing. but i ahve a dell laptop and im running vista with dx10 but i dont want to wipe it out and i want to put my games on here but there dx9 games. so what im asking is, is there somthing to download to were i can flex to dx9 games and the laptop is dx10 the rest of the time?

go right ahead, you can play your dx9 games straight-away
no additional downloads or fixes, no nothing

guess your particular game needs some patches to run on vista / vista compatibility issue

Yes- if your computer has DX10, it also supports DX9, DX8 etc. titles...
