Does anyone know weather a Sequel to the Transformers (2007 film) will happen? Has it been confirmed? or is it just a rumor?

It was announced and they are already in talks for the movie with an anticipated release date sometime in 2009

First off, if you stayed after the movie ended you would have noticed Starscream taking off into space... leaves you wondering, no? Also, what Optimus Prime states at the end definetly leaves it open for a sequel. I would like to see some sort of group transformers that merge into a gigantic one, like say the constructicons or even dinobots, but again, time will tell. As much money as the first movie made it would be, I think, a great idea to continue the money making machine that is Transformers. They can make the second better by having more transformers and also cutting down on the time needed to explain all the different areas. In the first movie, I think they spent too much time with Sam trying to find the glasses for example. We'll see what happens. One thing I would like to see if a variation of vehicles and also it would be nice if Michael Bay could try to stick to the same model car that the actual autobot/decepticon was just make it a modern model.

my guess is YES. at the last part. star scream flew past the sky. u may not have seen this. it was after all the credits.
