I think there's a fine line between invasion of privacy and celebrity lifestyle. When people decide they want to become famous for something they should know that there is going to be invasion of privacy (it's not right, but it's the truth), but if that's their dream they should go for it anways. But as I said, there's a differance between invasion of privacy and celebrity lifestyle. Photographers shouldn't be aloud to be taking pictures of celebs when they're trying to live like normal people, I mean who cares what brand of toilet paper Jessica Simpson buys? Yet celebrities are regular people like you and me and they deserve respect and privacy.

i think everyone deserves privacy. but they are paid a lot of money and a lot of them are role models. its almost like they are paid so that the public can constantly know what is going in there lives. Which means they should just say no to drugs because it is very likely that they will get caught even if they just buy their way out of the punishment. so do they deserve their privacy yes. do they get to walk around unnoticed no

I think celebrities are entitled to some privacy. I agree that when you are out and about, even if it is taking your dog to the vet or your kids to school, you can expect to have cameras pointed at you, and most celebrities agree with that. When it goes too far though, is when someone with a high powered lens starts peeking in little gaps in curtains, or perching themselves on a telephone pole outside the bedroom window of a star.

Yeah, everyone has a right to privacy. These people didn't sell their souls to the devils (unless they took the Hilton-ish route). They chose a career in acting. Granted their privacy may be at stake but that doesn't mean that they don't have a right to privacy. Some of them are successful in keepong their personal lives hidden from the public eye - until some deranged paparazzi goes to extreme lengths to get that out in the open. We don't have to know what they eat, whom they're dating, what type of work-out method they're using - we have our own lives to worry about.

Celebrities are people, just like you and me. Granted, they have a job that is more accessible than say if you worked as a janitor for some small time company, but that doesn't stop them from being human, and entitled to the same human rights you and I share.
If they want to share a part of their personal lives, then that's their option. But if they don't, they shouldn't be forced to, and we have no right to make them. Their personal lives have nothing to do with their job as entertainers.

I think everyone has the right to privacy. Most celebrities kind of bring the press upon themselves by making stupid mistakes at public places/functions, though.

I agree. I mean, they got all that money so they get a consequence but it is not fair if everywhere they go, a crowd of reporters are waiting for their every move. I mean, if you just like perhaps, singing or acting, and don't care one bit about fame, then you should have privacy!

I would like to say yes...but am saying no. I think they get paid a tremendous amount of money and should be available to their fans...sorry stars...but you get the big bucks and I deserve to meet and greet you...
