So on one side of a double glass door stands my alphamale cat with a pension for too much catnip. The other side of the double glass door is my neighbors large, curious, mixed breed boxer... they are about to go at it, who will win?

Cats have an advantage because they will cheat. I had a big tom cat once that whipped every dog in the neighborhood, my dogs, my cousin's dogs, my neighbor's doberman... you get the picture. He used to sleep in the garage on top of the car and one time my cousin's two dogs were playing with my two dogs running in and out of the garage, chasing each other and making a lot of noise and keeping him from his nap. I could tell by the way he was swishing his tail he was ticked off and a few minutes later we heard a dog howling in pain. He had had enough, got off the car and ran the 4 dogs out in the yard, they were sitting there barking furiously at him, from a very safe distance! he was sitting down looking at them as if to say, the garage is MINE, try and come back in here. Given my experiences with this cat, I will bet on your cat because it isn't always evident, but a cat's attitude is about 4 times the size of the actual cat himself. besides that, boxers are a tad on the spacey side.

In my experience cats are like Samurai warriors. I have dogs, not cats, but my dogs have had their noses slashed by angry cats from time to time, and the poor dog always acts like their feelings are hurt once it's over. My crusty old chihuahua did take on a red pit bull, and he chased that red pit all the way back to its own yard. I think that pit was embarrassed when it was all over. You never know..LOL

Because you had to ask what seems obvious I'm guessing that the less obvious answer is the right one, and your cat would win. Boxers are sooky lala dogs anyway, one cat claw to it's face and it would probably take off howling.

Your cat might box his ears a few time, but I have to go with the boxer. I'll let you figure out that double meaning

Hands down the cat. Dogs in general don't know how to react to retractable claws and the flying leaps of feline fury.
