Considering building a log home. I have spoken with Amerlink Log Homes on several occasions. Checked up on their CEO, a John Barth and their "director of ops" a Steve Slater. Both are rental uniform people with no log home experience whatsoever and appear to be running the company into the ground. I'm concerned about this. Has anyone got any information on Amerlink Log Homes (personal experience purchasing a log home from this company?) I would appreciate it!

From the Log Homes Report.com

Amerilink is a horrible log home vendor, no service after sale and from what I have heard their quality........well they have no quality. All they are interested in is selling you inferior log package and getting your money, no service or help after the sale. Also they are now trying to sell log homes under the name In The Woods Log Homes. They have a model home on interstate 75 near Sweetwater Tennessee, my advice is stay away from their product and their sales pitch and do your own due diligence and check with both the state attorneys in both North Carolina (that's where their home office is) and Tennessee where they are trying to make a new start.

I'd do some serious checking before getting involved.

I get a few of their customers addresses, and go ask them, if theyve been in for a year or more.......
Some of these have shrink and expansion problems............makes them drafty........
