I believe they are.
There are several defining characteristics that identify the possibility that a patient may be in denial. Some examples include pretending something does not exist when in reality it does. Being willing to admit there is a problem, but unwilling to see the severity of it. Seeing the problem as being caused by something or someone else. The behavior is not denied, but its cause is someone else's responsibility. Offering excuses, alibis, justifications, and other explanations for behavior. Dealing with the problem on a general level; avoiding personal and emotional awareness of the situations or conditions. Changing the subject to avoid threatening topics. Becoming angry and irritable when reference is made to the condition. These defining characteristics help to avoid the issue at hand (Whitfield, 1994).
Sounds totally like Bush supporters to me

I guess everyone bashing the " Democratic congress " thinks every member is a Democrat? Polls show that The republican members rate lower than the Democrats. Anyway, to answer your question, some people are just loyal to the point of not seeing fault with their candidate. You can tell by the answers. They don't argue for their president, they bring up the opposition. Is getting boring. I voted for Bush but I don't feel he is doing a good job.

Congress is not democratic. there may be more democrats in the congress, but congress needs 2/3 vote for a bill to pass. seeing how there is 100 people in the senate, so about 67 democrats needed to control congress.
I think its a case of Blind pride, meaning that since he is our president that i must do whatever and believe whatever he says. Also it is dislikeing the opposite side and defend the leader on your side even though most people dislike him.

No they are not in denial. It looks like, for a measly 28 percent if that is the case, there sure are a lot on YA. I don't know if polls are that accurate. I've never been polled. Ever.
And it is interesting that nobody points out the bad events, or poll numbers within their own party, isn't it?

there are at least a top 10 of lies that he as told,. but in your language you would call them flip flops.,.wait until the great recession [ depression] hits,. they are always caused by Conservatives.,.i never knew so many nuts could grow on one bush.,.Bush and Republicans have agreed to the following, and the policies below have resulted in the biggest illegal transfer of wealth this country has ever seen as well as erosion of the constitution. Thanks alot. 1. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton 2. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's Daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion. 3. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony. 4. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq. 5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational drug corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation. 6. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay. 7. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex. 8. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money. 9. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism. HMO's and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart. 10. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools. 11. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy. 12. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet. 13. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business. 14. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery. 15. Supporting "Executive Privilege" for every Republican ever born, who will be born or who might be born (in perpetuity. 16. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960's is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80's is irrelevant.

There are Robots on both sides honey! You just have to weed them out. Is there any issue you disagree with that the Democratic party is for?
My question is not in an effort of deflection but a question about your character. I understand where your coming from!

They are in denial about a lot of things, but there is something you have to understand about these people, they were always like this these are extreme right wingers and religious nut jobs that have been saying the same thing for years,9/11 basically put them on the map and made relevant and now gradually they are been exposed for what they really are...just look at the candidates they have for the next presidency?
P.S Mrs.Right the congress has always had low ratings regardless of which party runs it...know your history

The entire country is in denial. If you truely believe that a democrat or republican in the white house really makes a difference, then your in complete denial of how the country, and the world is operating today.

I am convinced that the only reason a person remains a supporter of bush and this corrupt regime is because of the welfare (in the form of huge tax cuts) he gives them.
It's all an issue of greed, which is one of the deadly sins, and a big temptation, to those folks born, with silver feet in their mouths.

Bush is doing an excellent job. His approval rating is down due to the prolonged stay in Iraq. This is normal for any country to embrace and except change. Enough Bush bashing, he loves Israel and will protect its sovereignty.
