Is it possible to use a proxy to access sites that are limited to a certain location that is not yours?

If you're on a network that is filtered, such as a business or school network, it's highly likely that proxies are being filtered as well. The block lists are usually updated daily so it's not likely that you'll find anything that is going to work.

If you are trying to access a site that has been limited to certain source IP addresses or network blocks there is no proxy on the planet that will get you access to the site unless it's running on one of the authorized networks. That would be highly unlikely to happen.

my best analogy for a proxy would be a drug dealer. You go to a proxy site(drug dealer) and they supply you with the site you want to access(drugs).
