I think that 'he - himself - ' will have to do that and not you . Contact the lawyer that got the divorce for him . Certainly there should be some paperwork proving he got it .
In any event it looks like you need legal help .
Good Luck .

I went through the same problem for years, as a matter of fact he still isn't legally divorced from her; however, I went to the government page of the county they were wed in and supposedly divorced in and searched for a marriage certificate and the divorce stating both names. You can also contact the county clerk's office to verify the information on both the marriage and divorce. Some counties will allow this others do not. I know it is probably a little fearful for you to ask him where the papers are, but for your own piece of mind it may be your only hope. Of course you could do like I did after I found a marriage certificate but no documentation of a divorce, I called the "ex"wife and asked her about it. It was very enlightening. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I hope some of it does. Good Luck!!!

FIND IT OUT.....ASK HIM FOR THE PAPERWORK!!!! you have been married long enough to be direct with him, and it is a very important matter. not filing the previous divorce can ond often will cause problems later. you can seek a copy of it from the court records, either at the courthouse or his lawyer. but get it - and make him help with the details

You need a lawyer because if he is still married to his first wife, he has commited a crime in marrying you. This is nothing that will just go away on its own. Fix it now. Any debt that first wife is incurring, is your debt, too. No matter what she does financially, he is attached to her. Call a lawyer today and have him get to work on it. Good luck.

If there's no divorce decree, there's no divorce! Have you checked the records in the county where he allegedly got divorced?

Yea, contact a lawyer. You may not be legally married.

OMG...............Get an attorney. If you are married (which you are not legally since he is married to someone else) he can get into a lot of trouble this is bigamy. You need legal advise.

Check with the courthouse he got it at. It has to be on file somewhere.
Either that, or he's a bigamist.
