I like Mumbai ascompared to Delhi as it is a consmopolitic city, which never sleeps. It has excellent public transport system and people can travel even late in the night without any fear.

Both cities have their own unique ways. Bombay (Mumbai) is a bustling overcrowded sea city with some of the most fascinating buildings. The Gate to India, the Taj Mahal Hotel, the beggars, great food, lovely people. New Delhi being the capital has more modern buildings but still overcrowded and areas common to both cities, of poor homeless people. India is still one of my most fascinating countries to visit and having also been to Kashmir regret that no one, due to the ongoing war there, will be able to appreciate the Himalayas, Dal Lake and Srinagar.

What I can't opt for Calcutta / Kolkata? Or Goa ; Panim or Vasco? Actually all Indian cities are much to crowded for my taste so while I would love to visit Bombay, I would chose Delhi for its quieter charms.
