Two is defined as the number after 1. The symbol "+1" means that you take the number after.

So 1+1=2.

Two. Or.... windows. Put it all together, the 1's make the verticals, the + makes the bit in the middle, and the = makes the horizontals on the top and bottom, resulting in... a window.
