I had my daughter's done when she was 4 months old 9they said it was a good age because she was not old enough to know they were there) she did not feel a thing (i guess it depends where you have it done) where I went they did both at the same time at the count of three and she did not cry at all. HOWEVER make sure if you do get them pierce to use 18k +. my daughter was allergic to her 14k studs and by the third week her ears were all red and itchy, she was in such discomfort..:-(
I felt so guilty i took them off and have decided she can have them done when she is old enough to want them.

Pretty much at any age. You should probably wait until around 6 months though. They also suggest that you should do it at an age where they won't accidently hit their ears and cause the earrings to fall out. If you get the baby's ears pierced young, it is less likely for them to even bother with their earrings when they get older because they are used to it.

Most little babies are pricked like a pin cushion in their first year of life! With all these vaccination's.So why inflict more pain to a little baby?let her make her own mind up when she is old enough to ask.Babies are cute without their ears pierced,so if you think it will make her look cuter it wont.Anyway wasnt that an 80's trend? How would you feel if someone held you and stabbed a big needle in your ear without your permission?

I work in a store where we pierce ears and we usually recommend that infants not have their ears pierced until after their first round of immunizations at approximately 6 weeks. for my own children, I waited until they were 3 years old.

Any age.
Although take her to a piercing salon which uses a needle NOT a gun. They cannot reach the inner parts of the gun to clean out bodily fluids and this can pose a risk of your baby contracting HIV or Hep C.
It will cost more at a professional tattoo/piercing salon, but it will be less painful, you'll get surgical grade stainless stele earrings, less scar tissue will form and she wont die!
So, I don't recomend anyone piercing their babies ears until they can ask for it themselves, but if you are going to get it done, please do your research.

The doctors I work for won't pierce ears if the child is under six months old.

I have to ask? Why would you have a baby's ear pierced, what if, when they get older, they didn't want them pierced?

According to Doctors piercings are very traumatizing to an infant, the child does not know the reason, only the pain; worse, the parent is the source of the trauma, which damages trust. Besides, honestly, there is no reason to to do it.

You can usually get them pierced as young as 3 months with all of their shots required by the doctor.
