Del Frisco's Double Eagle steakhouse. My wife and I had an anniversaty dinner there once. A steak for me, salmon for her, a side of asparagus to share, and a"cheap" bottle of wine ran us nearly $100.00. (incuded the tip...) Bear in mind this was 10 plus years ago. I'm sure the same meal would be nearly double that in today's dollars.

Imagine making a $15 to $30 tip Per Table through a busy dinner seating.

Of course, I imagine getting one of those jobs is no easy task.

I waited tables for two years in a smaller but tourist filled town in Texas. It was not a chain, but the restuarant had original recipes that everyone loved. The managers stressed service over and over. We went through a week and a half training period. It wasn't too exciting but once I got out on my own and started waiting on tables, giving excellent service most of the time, I started making money.

I don't have any specific restuarants to recomend, however I would say pick a restuarant that is busy, has food that is good and a bit pricey and practices amazing service. You will find that in a higher end restuarant you will catch the people who are willing to pay the price of the food, and if the service is among the best, they will be willing to tip much more than average.

I really like that Cafe at the Alamo Quarry in Alamo Heights off of 281 and basse. I know that they get good tips. I know the bartender and a couple of waiters and the salmon is delicious with their side of mashed sweet potatoes. I also love the tortilla chips of 4 flavors with a nice hot chipolta dip. Yum.

Pappadeaux is a great place to work. Or Pappasita's. Pappadeaux is seafood, the other Mexican. They are owned by the same people and make a large tip per table. Several locations in Houston, one in Beaumont, one in Austin, and definitely some others. www.pappadeaux.com

I'm in Houston and my cousin worked at Pappadeaux's, so Pappadeaux's or Pappasito's. There's both of them on 1960 across from Willowbrook Mall.

whichever one pays the most salary before tips!
Honestly my daughter is a waitress and only gets $2.25 hr + tips but as you probably know when a restraunt is slow you don't make too much and not everyone tips!
Don't choose chili's they are realy bad as far as supporting their staff, they also expect you to demean yourself by kneeling down to the table your serving.
