If T-mobile did that for everyone who threw or dropped their phones in water, T-mobile would go bankrupt. You might be able to lie your way into making them think it was a manufacturers defect, but i doubt it will work.
Tip: don't bring your phone to the pool

Well..t-mobile has a tricky insurance policy...i have been with tmobile since 2003 with 4 phone lines. they have never replaced one using my insurance. the only time they offered was when my sidekick wasn't charging....for $95 they would send me "another phone" not a sidekick but "another one" i.e. the cheapo free one. so best of luck but i doubt it you can always purchase them on ebay...just make sure it is an unlocked tmobile phone...and it will work. alot of the stores even offer a warranty on them for a small fee w/o all the jumping through hoops for replacement. i have personally bought 4 and used them until my contract is up and i qualify for a discount from tmobile. oh and tmobile WILL know that it was in water...there is a little white paper dot under your battery if it gets wet changes color usually to red...and if you lie and say it was manuf. defect then they will charge you full price of the phone to your bill....just get one on ebay you can usually get one cheaper than a new battery anyway.

The phone provider won't replace your phone if it's not a manufacture defect.
The same thing also happened to my cellphone, I accidentally dropped it into a toilet.
The first thing I did was I removed the battery, SIM card & memory card.
I didn't take it to repair shop, because when they fix it, they would erase all of my contacts and I don't want to type in all of those numbers all over again.
So, I fixed it myself using silica gel and now it's as good as new, I don't lose my important data :D
E-mail me if you need any help.

Mine went in a lake as quickly as...Take the battery out and shake as lots of the water out as you are able to. Then the oven trick is high-quality yet what I did grew to become into basically got here across a extreme high quality heat spot interior the solar....and waited there till my telephone worked returned....
