I have a folder that is 904 MB (948,790,897 bytes) on my desktop. I don't have a portable USB... could I save it to a CD? What do you recommend?

File of that big size will not be copied in CD also.

Capacity of CD is
Currently, 74 minute/650 MB, 80 minute/700 MB (12 cm) and 21 minute/185 MB (8 cm) discs are the market standards.

Try zipping the file and see if the size gets smaller than the CD capacity.

Or maybe try splitting the files in four parts and copy it in 2 cd.

Dear Min
try to make it a Rar file with the option"compression method" Best. it will lower the size of the file, but I don't think it's useful. so try this option if it will not work try using the WIN rar to split the folder in the size of the CD "Split the volume, bytes" option so you will be able to split this file and regroup it when moving it to another place
NOTE: Try to you type of encryption rar because it contains more useful options
with best regards

If you have a DVD burner burn it to a DVD
If not then you are going to need 2 CD's use winrar (http://www.rarlabs.com )to compress it and split it into 2 parts then burn it to the cd's
