The Milky Way contains 200-400 billion stars, each of which can theoretically be a solar system. Stars range in class from O to L, and though we've only confirmed the presence of planets on several nearby solar systems, one would extrapolate that planets are not uncommon in our galaxy

The Milky Way Galaxy contains some 200 Billion Stars (maybe more). One of those stars is our Sun.
Our Sun has 8 planets with their various moons orbiting around it.
Each of the other 200 Billion stars in our galaxy can have from 0 to 10 (or more) planets with their associated moons orbiting around it.
At present the search for Exoplanets has located 239 of these planets outside of our Solar System. For all intents and purposes these that have been located are only the largest ones which were the easiest to identify and locate with our present technology. There are many, many more yet to be located and identified.
Beyond our Galaxy there are thousands and thousands of other galaxies with each one having billions of stars inside of it. And, the same thing holds true for each of those stars. That is, each one of them might have from 0 to 10 (or more) planets with their associated moons orbiting around them. So, space is indeed vast, much bigger than most people can fathom.

The composition of our galaxy (..called the 'Milky Way Galaxy'..) is stars, planets, gas, dust and black holes.
As of July 12, 2007, 246 other solar systems have been found in our galaxy. (http://vo.obspm.fr/exoplanetes/encyclo/encycl.html)
Stars in our galaxy range from the gigantic red super giant stars, to the tiny neutron stars. Our sun is an average star.
Most of the planets found so far in the galaxy appear to be gas giant planets, like Jupiter, Saturn, etc.,.

the thing that makes up our galaxy is gas. there many gases that make up the galaxy. the most important gases are helium,
hydrogen, nitrogen. this is the gases that support the stars.
the matter that make up space are called " dark matter".
scientist still can not explain what is dark matter are made up of.
there are also other solar system in our galaxy but are far from our solar system and can not support life.

Tom, it is obvious you want others to do the thinking for you.
If you have such an underdeveloped concept of what makes up a galaxy, then it's time for you to do some very basic and elementary research on that very high-tech computer of yours. Quit using it as a mental crutch. Research it. Google it. READ.
