I want to move my dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge outside into a tent type conservatory. They will be kept in a covered area, always protected from the elements - but they will be continuously exposed to outdoor temperatures in the UK climate. Is this a good idea or could the weather damage them?

The water could freeze inside and expand causing a crack in a hose or the fill valve, etc.

A freezer or a fridge needs heat for them to work properly. They can work in cold areas but they aren't able to cycle properly and won't maintain the proper temperature. It could be too cold or might even be too warm.

Moisture in the air can cause electrical shorts and can cause the metal to rust through the outside finish of the appliances. I assume you've already considered the plumbing and electrical issues of getting same to your tent type enclosure. Since you're going to a lot of trouble and expense already, look into a more sturdy and permanent type of shed or enclosure.

Electrical appliances should never get rained on. The other issue is freezing. I don't know your climate but freezing would be bad. Otherwise should be no problem.

they should have storage places where you live that are climate controlled and it also depends on how long you are going to leave them out there
