I own 2 made in 1893 and in 1902 by Patek Philippe and by Vacheron Constantin respectively. They cost much more than 150 pounds though. These brands and Breguet are the costliest ones of all. You might find a nice vintage watch in your price range, and it has dignity and is proven by being around so long. British watchmakers were once the best in the days of Tompion, Arnold, Graham and others. Since he likes 1960's clothing, a 1960's watch would be appropriate.
